What Will It Take?
What is it with these guys? First we had Jim McGreavey, then Elliot Spitzer, then Vince Fossella and now Marc Dann.
Can't these politicians figure out that these kinds of affairs are going to get out in todays 24/7 media climate? The media beast must be fed and fed often and the media beast LIVES for this kind of a story!
Ohio's attorney general resigned Wednesday under threat of impeachment because of a sexual harassment investigation in his office and his extramarital affair.

When you screw the ordinary American you'll probably get re-elected but don't you dare screw anyone else. Why can't we put the cart before the horse and hold the politicians' feet to the fire on the laundry list of screwings they've given us?

I haven't followed the Dann story since it broke, but as I recall the bigger problem was that an ADA invited co-workers out to dinner and then asked them back to a rental unit that Dann owned. The next morning one of them complained of sexual harrassment having awoken with her blouse amiss. That's what the started the unraveling of Dann.
The rule should be don't ever go out with your boss and especially back to place.
The review of the ADA caused Dann's downfall as his ADA's resume wasn't clean. Dann made a bad hire and had to pay.
But sexual problems haven't stopped voters from re-electing them. Ohio Republican Congressman Steve LaTourette called his wife to tell him he was divorcing her (and the kids) because he wanted to spend more time with a female lobbyist. His wife put campaign signs out in front of the home for LaTourette's opponent ... LaTourette has since been reelected to Congress.
