Massacre in ?????
I was reading a report about the conflict in Somalia this afternoon.
"MOGADISHU (AFP) - Ethiopia said its forces backing the weak Somali government had dealt a massive blow to Islamists, forcing them to retreat after days of battles that claimed more than 1,000 lives. "
when I read a passage that caused a curious sense of deja vu.
""The Ethiopian forces have massacred people in the areas they have taken," Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, the head of the Islamist executive committee, told a press conference in Mogadishu."
Where have I heard that phrase before? It certainly rings a bell.....oh that's right. I heard it here and here among other places. It seems that any time someone attacked by the Islamists fights back they are accused of "massacre" - usually of civilian massacre. Funny how the Islamists don't talk about the millions of civilians that they have massacred over the years. From Mumbai to London, Indonesia to Spain, France to Pakistan, Iraq to Afghanistan, Israel to Germany to New York City militant Islamists have massacred MILLIONS of innocent non-combatant civilians and yet they never mention that. Ever wonder why that is?

Are YOU actually trying to justify the massacre of Israeli civilians at the hands of Islamists? Of the almost 3000 American citizens killed by Islamists on 9/11?
Think for 2 seconds Skipper. There ARE atrocities taking place - but it is not the one sided affair that the Islamists would have you believe.
And trust me...hundreds of thousands of Somalis have NOT been killed in this particular foray. Now if you want to talk about the number of Somalis that have died at the hands of the Islamist warlords since they took control you may be closer to the correct number...
Remember - the Ethiopian troops are in Somalia in support of the DULY ELECTED GOVERNMENT! The Islamist warlords are the usurpers in this story.

How dare you make such an accusation when I have said no such thing. You on the other hand do not seem troubled at all by the massacres in the Sudan and you are spreading misinformation. Some 400,000 people have been killed in the Sudan. The government is a military dictatorship and it is government troops known locally as janjaweed who carry out the massacres. Some 2,000,000 Sudanese have fled to refugee camps.
