Fallout!
The fallout begins. Michael Brodkorb (of Minnesota Democrats Exposed) reported today that the delegates of the House District 49B Convention (Rep. Kathy Tinglestad's district) withheld endorsement today. What this means is that they chose to postpone the endorsement for this seat. This is a bold move by the activsts. It is not often that an incumbent legislator is so thoroughly "dissed" by their convention.
The grass roots activists have spoken loudly to Rep. Tinglestad. We put too much effort into things like the Party Platform to have our elected officials ignore it. Rep. Tinglestad now faces a choice. Which way she chooses, will have serious consequences, not only for her but for her BPOU and for the party as a whole. As the next few weeks worth of BPOU conventions progresses, we will continue to see fallout from the Transit vote.

Hearing you on the radio and coming home to read this announcement made my week! Some SD-45ers gave some heat to our DFL legislators at their town meeting today in the NW metro.

Good, we need to set an example and throw out any Republicans that votes for this record setting tax increase.

What tough decision do you think Tinglestad faces? When your Republican governor, your state party, 90% of your fellow Republican legislators and 65% of the voters say "no" to what is OBVIOUSLY a bloated load of bovine byproducts and the worst idea of all time, is there a choice?
Frankly, I'm thinking of calling my local DFL rep and saying, "Please, PLEASE vote FOR this bill." I may even tell her why.

The tough decision for Tinglestad is that she is more worried about the promise of a cushy county job if she does everything County Commissioner Dan Erhart asks of her. She is very self-serving and is looking out for her own future interests rather than actually representing her constituents. Good Old Boy Boss Hog Erhart was even there to console her in the hall after the convention. What would a DFL commissioner be doing outside of the GOP convention? Tinglestad is finally showing her true colors. She has pimped for Erhart on everything from Northstar to the Vikings to the gas tax. Remember her attitude regarding the Vikings stadium issue. She said that a referendum wasn't needed for the local sales tax as the election would be a referendum.

"She said that a referendum wasn't needed for the local sales tax as the election would be a referendum."
Well as she found out yesterday, it is indeed a referendum and she may be on the losing end of it!

"Rep. Kathy Tingelstad doesn't support a referendum on the tax. The Andover Republican says voters can vote her and other stadium supporters out of office if they don't like the stadium plan."
