A "Post-Partisan" Campaign???
NEW YORK - John McCain is mocked as an out-of-touch, out-of-date computer illiterate in a television commercial out Friday from Barack Obama as the Democrat begins his sharpest barrage yet on McCain's long Washington career...The newest ad showcasing their hard line includes unflattering footage of McCain at a hearing in the early '80s, wearing giant glasses and an out-of-style suit, interspersed with shots of a disco ball, a clunky phone, an outdated computer and a Rubik's Cube.
"1982, John McCain goes to Washington," an announcer says over chirpy elevator music. "Things have changed in the last 26 years, but McCain hasn't.
"He admits he still doesn't know how to use a computer, can't send an e-mail...
"Our economy wouldn't survive without the Internet, and cyber-security continues to represent one our most serious national security threats," Pfeiffer said. "It's extraordinary that someone who wants to be our president and our commander in chief doesn't know how to send an e-mail."
While it is true that Senator McCain does not send e-mails, it is obvious that Team Obama doesn't know how to use Google or Lexis-Nexis - because if they did they would have found this 2000 article that explains WHY Senator McCain does not use email (HT Ed M).
McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard or tying his shoes.
Emphasis mine. If they had looked at all they would have found this NYTimes interview from last July (HT Allahpundit)
Q: What websites if any do you look at regularly?
Mr. McCain: Brooke and Mark show me Drudge, obviously, everybody watches, for better or for worse, Drudge. Sometimes I look at Politico. Sometimes RealPolitics, sometimes.
(Mrs. McCain and Ms. Buchanan both interject: “Meagan’s blog!”)
Mr. McCain: Excuse me, Meagan’s blog. And we also look at the blogs from Michael and from you that may not be in the newspaper, that are just part of your blog.
Q: But do you go on line for yourself?
Mr. McCain: They go on for me. I am learning to get online myself, and I will have that down fairly soon, getting on myself. I don’t expect to be a great communicator, I don’t expect to set up my own blog, but I am becoming computer literate to the point where I can get the information that I need – including going to my daughter’s blog first, before anything else.

The disability doesn't prevent him from using email. McCain just doesn't know which 'internets' to use.

Excuse me Bill but how many 70+ year old people do you know that are computer literate? Even if it were not for the torture that he endured while a guest at the Hanoi Hilton, his generation never had to use computers as ours has.....
I have to congratulate you....you guys are succeeding at throwing the election away. Good work at pi$$ing off yet another key Democrat demographic....

Big Dog, small brain. Just keep on atttacking the disabled war hero.
Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with snide, petty vitriol on top?

Frog, I am not attacking McCain for being disabled, a veteran or war hero. I was just making light of McCain's tendency to follow in the President's footsteps (again) by not knowing which of the internets to use.
If that is how you want to characterize my statements (which would be false) then go ahead.
Don't stay on the internets too long or you'll miss your daily feeding of opinions from Fox News.

I think McCain knows exactly how to use the Internet, Big Dog William. If you doubt that, you might want to consult this article from Forbes concerning the McCain campaign's web prowess. That would be the 2000 McCain campaign, by the way.

And you guys wonder why you lose so many elections....
Good post, LL!

Bwahahahaha......Bill ya'll feel into the Old Man's trap....from Mark's link above
In certain ways, McCain was a natural Web candidate. Chairman of the Senate Telecommunications Subcommittee and regarded as the U.S. Senate’s savviest technologist, McCain is an inveterate devotee of email. His nightly ritual is to read his email together with his wife, Cindy. The injuries he incurred as a Vietnam POW make it painful for McCain to type. Instead, he dictates responses that his wife types on a laptop. “She’s a whiz on the keyboard, and I’m so laborious,” McCain admits.
So much for "not knowing which internets" to use!
Bwahahahahahahahaha....

LL, I wasn't being serious. I am sure all candidates can use the web just fine.
Sometimes sarcasm doesn't translate well across the net or with certain readers.

Good dog. Keep it up. Americans hate the type of politics Obama disciples employ.
Say, did you know that Sarah Palin molests teenage boys? Randi Rhodes says so!

True, but intellectual laziness usually comes through quite clearly. Next time do your homework, good sir.

That's because he invented the Blackberry, you know.
