US Border Patrol Unit Attacked!

Has anyone seen any press play on this story?

"A U.S. Border Patrol entry Identification Team site was overrun Wednesday night along Arizona's border with Mexico.According to the Border Patrol, an unknown number of gunmen attacked the site in the state's West Desert Region around 11 p.m. The site is manned by National Guardsmen. Those guardsmen were forced to retreat.
The Border Patrol will not say whether shots were fired. However, no Guardsmen were injured in the incident. The Border Patrol says the incident occurred somewhere along the 120 mile section of the border between Nogales and Lukeville. The area is known as a drug corridor. Last year, 124-thousand pounds of illegal drugs were confiscated in this area. The Border patrol says the attackers quickly retreated back into Mexico. "

So an armed squad of gunmen come into the US from a foreign country, attack a group of US Border Patrol/Armed Forces and retreats across the border and does anyone seem to think that this is newsworthy?

Scratch that - I finally heard a radio station report on it...in conjunction with a report on a Minnesota National Guard unit that is being stationed in Arizona! Well that is a start.

The thing that gets me is that will get zero consideration when it comes to building a border fence. The House and the Senate will ignore the wishes of the American people again.

  • HOLY COW! We better bring the troops home from Iraq to deal with real threats to our national security, eh?

  • Only if we let them shoot to defend themselves, but that is not happening (according to that story)...
